2019-20 SMU Men's Basketball Preview

After withstanding self-imposed scholarship restrictions the past few years, things came crashing down in 2018-2019 as injuries and the lack of depth were key in a 15-17 record a year ago, SMU’s first losing season in six years. Head coach Tim Jankovich thinks the Mustangs are on the other side of that difficult stretch and things could be looking up after two challenging seasons.

“We were managing our scholarship restrictions pretty well and then the injuries just became too much for us to overcome," Jankovich said. "We’ve been really unlucky with injuries and we are certainly hoping we have better luck on that front. We are so excited to finally have a full roster."
