Rice football: QB Wiley Green carted off against Wake Forest
The redshirt freshman will be taken for further evaluation after suffering a head injury.
Rice quarterback Wiley Green was carted off the field against Wake Forest after sustaining an apparent head injury in the first quarter of the Owls' 41-21 loss to Wake Forest.
Green was diving for the goal line when Wake Forest linebacker Justin Strnad hit him right in the crown of the helmet. The redshirt freshman was immobilized and had his facemask removed on a stretcher. Green did not immediately appear to be moving, though he gave the crowd a thumbs up on the way out.
