Texas State football: Jake Spavital reflects on time at Texas A&M before Kyle Field showdown

SAN MARCOS -- It’s been four seasons since Jake Spavital was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M. On Thursday night, Spavital makes his return as head coach of the visiting Texas State Bobcats. He spoke with us about his return to College Station in early August.

“It’s a whole embrace-the-moment situation for me before you’re going into your first game as a head coach into Kyle Field, where you called your first plays as a coordinator,” Spavital said. “It’s going to be a little bit of a surreal moment for me.”
