A&M Consolidated fends off Southlake Carroll to win Division I 7-on-7 state championship
The Tigers avenged last season's loss in the title game
A&M Consolidated entered the weekend an early favorite to win the Texas 7-on-7 Division I State Championship after losing in last years’ title game to in-town rival College Station.
The Tigers climbed back to the final and got off to fast start against Southlake Carroll but needed to finish strong after a few mistakes in the second half. Consolidated topped Carroll, 37-31, after two interceptions gave Carroll the lead midway through the second half.
