Two players who played college ball in Texas were selected in the lottery of the 2019 NBA Draft Thursday night.
Texas Tech forward Jarrett Culver was selected No. 6 overall by the Phoenix Suns, but his future lies in Minnesota after a trade, that isn't yet league-official, was made earlier in the day. According to reports, the Suns will send the No. 6 overall pick (Culver) to the Timberwolves in exchange for Dario Saric and the No. 11 pick (Was eventually Cam Johnson from North Carolina). Culver was the Big XII Player of the Year, averaged 18.5 points per game and led the Red Raiders to the national title game in his sophomore season.
