WBB NCAA DII Elite Eight: Lubbock Christian storms past North Georgia to reach Final Four
Chitsey and Robertson lead the way for the Lady Chaps to set up showdown with No. 1 Drury
Lubbock Christian was facing a situation on Dec. 8, 2018. The Lady Chaps just lost on the road 66-62 to Cameron and the perennial powerhouse fell to 7-4 in the early season. Sure, there were plenty of excuses, but Lubbock Christian was not a team that would fall into that trap.
The Lady Chaps have won 23 of their 24 games since that fateful day and are in the NCAA DII Women’s Final Four after trouncing North Georgia 99-54 in the Elite 8 on Tuesday. Lubbock Christian (30-5) advances to the Final Four where it will meet No. 1 seed Drury on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio.
