Baylor makes 11th consecutive Sweet 16
It’s become the program standard for Kim Mulkey’s Lady Bears to reach the Sweet 16 every year and Monday night, Baylor advanced to its 11th straight in a rout over Cal, 102-63. The Lady Bears more than doubled up the Golden Bears on the boards winning the rebound battle, 49 to 23 while scoring 52 points in the paint. But it was the guard play of Chloe Jackson and Juicy Landrum that led the way as opposed to the dominant post duo of senior Kalani Brown and junior Lauren Cox. Cal keyed in on Brown in the half-court sets which led to the guards getting out in transition before Cal could set its defense.
