Utah State 52, North Texas 13: Mean Green collapse after Mason Fine suffers injury
The Mean Green picked a bad time to play their worst team performance of the season.
North Texas got a first look at life after Mason Fine on Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque, N.M. It wasn’t a pretty picture.
The record-braking quarterback hurt his hamstring in the first quarter of a 52-13 loss to Mountain West opponent Utah State (11-2, 7-1). The Mean Green (9-4, 5-3) hadn’t lost by more than eight points this season. In fact, UNT was the only team in the FBS that had not trailed by multiple scores this season.
