Big 12 championship game: Texas football determined to learn from title game loss
The Longhorns were just minutes away from winning their first Big 12 championship since 2009.

ARLINGTON -- Texas defensive end Charles Omenihu knelt on one knee as confetti floated in the background. Safety Caden Sterns limped off the playing surface on crutches, glancing back at the giant AT&T Stadium video board.
This was the first game with a championship on the line since 2013 for Texas football. It was an emotional scene as Oklahoma celebrated its fourth straight Big 12 championship on the field, as Texas players had to walk dejectedly back to the locker room. The final score was 39-27.
