Houston-South Florida preview: Cougars face major opportunity against elite AAC opponent
The Cougars can take the step from middle-tier to front of the state with a win over South Florida.
Houston football is sliding under the radar. The Cougars are 6-1 with an elite offense, but have yet to play a high-level opponent, save for a loss against Texas Tech.
That will change in a hurry on Saturday. The Cougars face off against American Athletic Conference opponent No. 21 South Florida at TDECU Stadium in one of the marquee games of the Week 9 slate. UCF is the only Group of Five team ranked higher in the AP Top 25.
