TCU football names sophomore Ivy League transfer Michael Collins starting quarterback
TCU football will trot out a new starting quarterback against Kansas on Saturday.
TCU quarterback Michael Collins was named the starting quarterback by TCU coach Gary Patterson on Monday morning. Former starter Shawn Robinson will undergo shoulder surgery that will likely keep him out for the rest of the season.
"We have no choice," TCU coach Gary Patterson said on the media teleconference. "Shawn has been trying to play through it and will have surgery and Michael Collins will be our starter."
