Could North Texas QB Mason Fine be the best player UTEP plays this year?
The Miners have their work cut out against a phenomenal Conference-USA quarterback on Saturday.
EL PASO -- Throughout the past decade, the Miners have squared off against quarterbacks that went on to have some notable stints in the NFL. They took on Case Keenum (Houston) in 2010, battled Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M) in 2012, faced Patrick Mahomes (Texas Tech) in 2015 and played Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma) in 2017.
This year, the Miners have not been tested against a true gunslinger quite like North Texas junior quarterback Mason Fine, who has already lit the nation on fire under the Mean Green's air-raid offensive style.
