Houston football to wear special throwback unis for Homecoming
The Cougars reference their 1978 Southwest Conference champion squad with a tribute.
Houston football is debuting a new throwback jersey to help celebrate the 1968 and 1978 teams at the Homecoming game against Temple on Nov. 10.
The Cougars will wear jerseys that are similar to the ones worn during that era. Houston will wear red jerseys with white letter and white pants with blue and red down the side. The helmets will feature the logo from 1968-78, and will be red with white stripes down the middle.
