UTSA football: Frank Wilson addresses the Roadrunners' first win, looks ahead to C-USA play
The Roadrunners finally get the first win monkey off their back, now it's time for conference play
SAN ANTONIO -- After starting the season 0-3, the pressure was on for Head Coach Frank Wilson and the Roadrunners to earn their first win of the season. UTSA had never lost to Texas State, so a loss to a rival school and an 0-4 record would have been less than ideal.
It wasn’t exactly a flawless win, but UTSA got the job done in a 25-21 victory to push their record to 1-3. Coach Wilson addressed the media about the I-35 rivalry, what the win means for the team, and the upcoming matchup against UTEP.
