Texas senior cornerback Davante Davis missed the entire second half of the Longhorns' season opener against Maryland after suffering an apparent neck injury during the first half.
Redshirt freshman Kobe Boyce was left to fill the role along with true freshman and former 5-star defensive back Anthony Cook from Houston Lamar.
