The UIL announced the new districts for all 1,228 public Texas high school football teams in February, but not all districts are created equal. What are the toughest — and the easiest — districts in Texas? Dave Campbell's Texas Football crunched the numbers to find out!
How We Calculate District Strength: We take Texas high school football analytics expert Jerry Forrest's computer rating for each team over the past five years and come up with a five-year team rating. Then, we average the five-year team ratings of every school in each district. The higher the rating, the stronger the district. Note that new schools are not factored into the calculations.
