RECRUITING: What UTSA needs in the 2018 recruiting class

National signing day is coming fast, and we’ll be looking at each FBS team’s needs as the end of the 2018 recruiting season arrives. Next up: Texas-San AntonioBiggest need: Receivers The Roadrunners' entire passing attack is decimated after last season. Quarterback Dalton Sturm is gone. His replacement, whether it's Bryce Rivers, Frank Harris or Alin Edouard, will be taking over an offense losing all three starting receivers and four of the eight receivers on the depth chart. Josh Stewart, Kerry Thomas Jr. and Brady Jones are all gone, leaving a void of nearly 1,300 receiving yards and nine scores. Tight end Shaq Williams is gone, too. Finding chemistry and production in the passing game won't be easy next year, and there's bodies to replace in the 2018 recruiting class for Frank Wilson. How it's being addressed: Three of the class' top six early signees are receivers, highlighted by 6-4, 197-pound Tykee Ogle-Kellogg from Alcoa, Tenn, a national top 1000 recruit. Sheldon Jones, a 5-9, 134-pound New Orleans native is also on the way to San Antonio in this class, which signed 19 players last month. Sinton's Andrew McGowan also signed with the Roadrunners as the No. 421 player in Texas. Wilson also signed Del Valle's La'Thaniel Washington, who ranked No. 157 overall in Texas as a safety.
