Cedar Park 35, Hutto 25
This was supposed to be Hutto's year, and when Cedar Park quarterback Mak Sexton went down with a broken leg, it actually seemed like the Hippos might have a chance to pull off a district title win. But the Timberwolves are the kings of 19-5A, and they didn't get there by wilting when things got tough. The Black Rain defense did its thing, and backup quarterback Ryan Fiala found a groove. The Hippos will regroup for what they hope will be a long playoff run, but that probably feels a little tougher after tonight.
