DQ Big Game of the Week preview: New Braunfels vs. New Braunfels Canyon

This week’s DQ Big Game of the Week is another rivalry match-up. In fact, we move just a bit west toward San Antonio from last week’s rivalry war, Schulenburg vs Weimar:

New Bruanfels high school has a longer rivalry with Seguin (they’ve only squared off 103 times!), but nothing more intense than with their neighbors from Canyon high school. In fact, old-timers (and by old-timers I mean me) still refer to Canyon as “that County School,” even though the campus sits right off I-35 just a Schlitterbahn’s tube shoot slide away from their own school.
