This is decidedly not the case with the Golden Triangle, where even lifelong Texans can understandably shrug. But once it’s explained to you, it makes sense: draw lines on a map between Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange. What you’ll get is a triangle of the state in Southeast Texas that’s known for two things: oil, and a heck of a lot of good football. We don’t strictly abide by the Triangle, but we come close.
