DCTF's Fantasy Football Game
We launched a contest for the 2016 season to match wits across the state. Here's where things stand this week.

We launched a fantasy football game this year with writers, and we picked one lucky fan to join us. It’s a different kind of game, one which tests your knowledge and feel for the Texas FBS and high school landscapes. If you want to see the rules and regulations, check below the table. Here are the latest standings: week-10Rules: Each week, you’ll select a team from each 11-man class + one H.S. bonus team + one Texas FBS team. This will leave you with a total of 7 teams on your weekly roster. No H.S. teams can be chosen more than once in a season. No Power 5 team can be chosen more than once in a season. No G5 team can be chose more than twice in a season. Scoring: You will be awarded 1 point for every 5 points scored on offense. You will be penalized 1 point for every 5 points allowed on defense. You will select a confidence pick, whose total points will be doubled. If a team loses, you will default to -25 points for that game. You will be awarded 1 point for every 25 yards of offense for your FBS team. You will be penalized 1 point for 25 yards allowed by your FBS team’s defense. Your FBS team’s turnover margin will automatically factor as +/- points. If your team’s game is cancelled or moved to another week, you will default to +2 points for H.S., +5 for FBS. Each week, a submission to me would look something like this: FBS: TCU 6A: Katy 5A: Mansfield Lake Ridge* 4A: Abilene Wylie 3A: Mineola 2A: Falls City Bonus: Yoakum * - denotes confidence pick, doubling pointsWhat’s at stake: It's a $20 buy-in, and the winner gets the pool donated to a charity of their choice AND the DCTF Fantasy Football Championship Belt (as seen over Max's shoulder on DCTF Live) for six months, with name engraved in the belt with title year by DCTF. The belt must be accepted in person on camera and relinquished in person on camera (if you are outside DFW, we’ll trade you trips on each end, with flexibility in mind…and if you’re in El Paso or the Valley, we’ll figure out something a little more reasonable for everyone). We will start on the weekend of Sept. 2nd and play through the weekend of Nov. 18th. The winner will be announced Thanksgiving week.
