Texas State’s offense is improving. It took a while to get going, but the Bobcats offense showed promise against South Alabama. Quarterback Tyler Jones had a good game, finishing with 105 yards in the air and 71 on the ground with one rushing touchdown. The weather conditions favored the run game and Texas State answered the call. Running back Robert Lowe rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries and was very good at keeping Texas State drives alive. However, the offense struggled in the fourth. The plays were simple and predictable and Texas State had trouble getting anything going. Fortunately, Lowe carried the team late in the game and scored an insurance touchdown to put the game away. Getting more consistent production from the offense will be crucial to rejuvenating Texas State’s season.
