Morning Jolt (Aug. 24): Watch the most dominating receiver in six-man history

Gary FarquharThis is the Morning Jolt, TexasFootball.com’s wake-up call to get up and start thinking about football. Close your eyes, and picture a dominating wide receiver. What qualities does he have? He's obviously got great athleticism and a terrific pair of hands. He's quick...and yeah, maybe he's tall, so he can dominate smaller defensive backs. You know who you just described? Gary Farquhar. The Throckmorton wide receiver dominated the six-man ranks from 2010-2012, guiding the Greyhounds to back-to-back state titles in 2011 and 2012. Why? Because he was so physically dominant — at 6-foot-5, he'd be a tough matchup in 11-man football, and a nightmare in six-man football. He capped his career with a remarkable senior year, capturing Six-Man Player of the Year honors by hauling in 55 catches for 1,432 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2012. Then, he became the first six-man player ever to sign with Midwestern State, where he's still waiting to get on the field. Take a look back at one of the most dominant six-man players of all time.
