Catching up with coach Gene Johnson of Cy Ranch.
Coach Johnson arrived at Cy Ranch in 2008, when the school opened. In 2014, Johnson helped lead the Mustangs on a stunning run to the state title game, riding a 12-game winning streak to AT&T Stadium and guiding the still-young program (which has played varsity ball since 2010) to new heights. The Mustangs went into the playoffs with little experience, but their second-ever playoff berth was a memorable one.
