One of the region’s burgeoning football traditions continues this weekend as the Lone Star Conference holds its third annual Lone Star Football Festival at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The brainchild of LSC commissioner Stan Wagnon, it is an event unlike anything else in Division II football. This year’s Festival, which runs Thursday through Saturday and includes seven games (up from six a year ago), takes on an international flavour as three of the premiere collegiate programs from Mexico will traverse the border to take part.
