Jake Shaw quickly surveys this weekend's college action across Texas.
West Virginia 48, Texas 45
In another Big 12 offensive thriller, Texas (4-1, 1-1 in Big 12) scored a TD with 22 seconds left to cut its deficit to three, but West Virginia (5-0, 2-0) recovered the onside kick to hold onto the win. The Texas defense did create some pressure on WVU's Geno Smith (268 yards, 4 TDs), causing two fumbles and sacking him four times, but RB Andrew Buie responded with a career game, gashing UT for 207 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Texas, however, only averaged 3.5 yards per carry, but got another solid game from QB David Ash (269 yards, TD).
