What do small-school coaches across Texas think of the expanded playoffs?
The UIL recently proposed a measure in its annual summer meeting to add an additional playoff spot in each district for both 2A and 3A classifications. If passed in October, when all proposals will be voted on, both classes will expand to allow the top four teams in each district to advance to playoffs - currently, only the top three teams are guaranteed playoff appearances.
