Jake Larson — Coppell QB (2012)
Looks like Joe McBride's mighty Cowboys are in line for a second-straight senior sensation under center. A year after Joe Minden (SFA) shocked the Metroplex with a stellar showing in his only season as a starter, 2012 prospect Jake Larson is showing the skills to duplicate the feat in 2011. The first thing you see with Larson is his frame — at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, he's got prototype size for the collegiate level, especially if you're asking him to make quick reads in a spread offense, where he can easily see from the pocket. While he's not exactly a blazing runner on the zone read, he can motor enough to make defenses respect that possibility from the shotgun handoff.
