When do offers come out?

When do actual offers usually come out?
The recruiting process operates at different timelines or cycles depending on which level a athlete will gain attention from. At the highest level the timeline is extremely accelerated for today’s recruits. Most players are indentified as potential at some point in the first half of their high school career.  The highest tier prospects are typically identified, evaluated, and offered at some point during their sophomore year, or the very beginning of their junior year. By the end of the spring evaluation period nearly 75% of the D1 scholarships have been offered to recruits.  Another quarter comes out during the summer going into your Sr. year and a very slim margin will be handed out during the actual senior year.

What can a recruit do to stay on top of this timeline and in a good positions to earn these offers? Start the process early is absolutely key. You’ll need to gain the attention of coaches as early as possible. Typically this is easily done by having your information evaluated (

Lastly I would recommend learning as much as you can about recruiting. NCSA Athletic Recruiting offers a great recruiting blog that can give you helpful tips, http://www.ncsasports.org/blog/. Having an understanding of the game will help you be competitive throughout the process.
