The final installment of the annual APSE all-state football teams has finally been published, and Steele RB Malcolm Brown, long considered to be the top player in the 2011 recruiting class, has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Year after closing the regular season with 1,740 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. His team is now playing for a 5A DII state title this weekend. The Defensive Player of the Year award went to Coppell LB Brandon Mullins, the leader of a stout Cowboys defense that very nearly upset national No. 1 Euless Trinity earlier in the postseason.
