This weekend's college football action may have been Longhorn-less, but there was still plenty of intrigue to digest come Sunday morning. With four in-state teams all in action against each other (Tech/Baylor and UTEP/Rice) and Texas A&M facing a top 15 foe (Arkansas), there were plenty of chances to shake up the weekly DCTF Power Poll. Factor in TCU's chances of moving up in the national rankings after Alabama's shocking loss and SMU's must-have game against Tulsa, and this may have been one of the best week's in Texas college football in some time. The overall theme? So close, yet so far away — Baylor and A&M both had chances to down its foes, while SMU somehow squeaked out its own close finish.
