Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville announced his quarterback decision on Sunday, and to the surprise of some, he’s going with Taylor Potts.
Potts has more experience than Steven Sheffield, but Sheffield got fans excited with some tremendous performances in limited action in 2009. Potts threw for 3,440 yards and 22 touchdowns last year and had a big performance against Texas. Sheffield threw for 1,219 yards and 14 TDs and led a comeback win in the Alamo Bowl.
