An early list of SQT qualifiers
It didn't take long for 7-on-7 SQTs to pop up and start producing qualifiers: two from the DL ranks and a whole bunch from the small schools. Up in DI, only Houston Lamar, with a host of FBS talent to offer, and Houston Chavez have qualified for the state tournament. Down in DII, Cameron, Celina, Edna, Godley, Hidalgo, La Villa, Lexington, Lorena, Newton, Altair Rice, Seminole, Snyder, West Orange-Stark and Whitney are all already on. Watch out for that Newton squad. Out of this group, it could be an early favorite for a title run.
