Just a day or two ago, a colleague and I pretty much closed down our office building discussing the current state of affairs in football. My buddy is older than me, and his football memories aren't clouded with the spread offense, fancy passing attacks and Mike Leach. He's a lucky man -- in his prime, teams were pounding the football with reckless abandon, settling for three yards a carry and liking every bit of it.
