Bronte for 1A title?
Though Bronte lost in the 1A basketball finals this past weekend to an absurdly talented Cayuga team -- a game the Longhorns could've/should've won -- perhaps the 1A DII football title in 2010 could be a wonderful "consolation prize". DCTF staffers in attendance at the tournament came back with rave reports over Bronte swingman Dakota Rawls, who dazzled with the size of a forward and the skill set of a guard. The good news? He also stars as Bronte's quarterback and played a key role in helping the Longhorns to a 10-win playoff season. With Rawls back in the fold for another year, Bronte has a chance to be very good in '10. Class 1A -- watch out!
