BROWN TO ARIZONA (4/30/09)
An injury didn't slow down Allen's football team last fall. When Matt Brown suffered a shoulder injury in the second round of the playoffs, Allen picked up the pieces and still went on to win the 5A Division I title.
That injury, to QB Matt Brown, also didn't slow his recruitment one bit. The 6-0, 175-pound dual-threat QB committed to Arizona this week, picking the Pac-10 program over several other BCS offers. Before the injury, Brown had totaled more than 3,000 yards of offense in 12 games, his second straight year as the Allen starter.
