WEEK 7 WINNER: Clear Springs LB/HB Trevon RandleWhen the first-year varsity Clear Springs Chargers took the field during spring training, it would probably be accurate to say that no one was really sure what they were going to get. Players were learning from new coaches and coaches were teaching new players. With no seniors on the roster, veteran leadership was a foreign concept on both sides of the ball. The players practiced and the coaches coached, but after a certain point, everyone had to just cross their fingers and hope.
In nervous times like those, any little pleasant surprise can be a huge positive, and while it wouldn't be completely accurate to call sophomore LB/HB Trevon Randle a "surprise," he's certainly exceeded expectations for a Chargers coaching staff that has quietly guided its team to a 5-2 start.
