12/31/07It's been two weeks since the site has had a recap posted, but there hasn't been anything earthshattering to report, either. A few more names to a few more places are in here, but with the signing season just around the corner, this link is about to get very, very busy.
COWBOYS LOSE SPANO
Probably the biggest news of the past two weeks came this Monday morning, when Stephenville QB Kody Spano decommitted from Oklahoma State. Spano is one of Texas' top ten quarterbacks by our standards, so the fact that he's back out on the market is significant; rumor has it he's looking at Nebraska, TCU, Tulsa and Mississippi, but Fort Worth seems an unlikely destination with freshman Andy Dalton now running the Horned Frogs' show. Ole Miss may have some added allure with Houston Nutt now in power, but the Rebs' have four underclassman quarterbacks already on the roster (including ex-Longhorn Jevan Snead), so getting playing time there will be a dogfight. Nebraska is still an interesting option for the young YellowJacket dual-threat, but we don't know much about new coach Bo Pelini's offensive style - time will tell.
