BEARS SWIPE A LINEMAN FROM A&M (8/23/08)
Art Briles had reason to be content with the offensive lineman already committed to Baylor. Contentment has probably changed to jubilation after the latest verbal pledge to the Bears.
Already with four commitments from O-linemen, Baylor got its fifth and biggest (in many ways) when Dickinson's Ivory Wadeswitched his commitment from Texas A&M to Baylor. Wade (6-3, 305) is nationally ranked by most recruiting analysts, including the No. 10 guard in the nation by Rivals.com. As his highlight video indicates, Wade is strong, but his quickness when pulling and lead blocking on running plays is even more evident. It's the type of athleticism needed in a Briles-led offense, so it's no wonder the Bears stayed after him.
