Thursday's Games to Watch: Unofficial kickoff day or true start to '09?

Depending on which way you look at it, the Texas high school football season officially starts either today or tomorrow. You can't argue that Thursday doesn't sport its fair share of games, but Friday is the day the vast majority of the state's teams will kick off.

Either way, we don't want you to miss any early action -- below is a full list of all of Thursday's 11-man UIL games, some sporting some additional info and staff picks. Questions, comments or corrections? Send us an email. And don't miss Dennis Hall's live blog of tonight's SA Fox Tech vs. Floresville game from San Antonio's Alamodome. That live coverage will be followed tomorrow by our live blog of the Midlothian-Boerne Champion game, then, on Saturday, we'll blog triple header at the Alamodome -- Katy Mayde Creek-Brenham at noon, Permian-Duncanville at 4:05 and SA East Central-Cibolo Steele at 7:30.
