Texas Tech appears committed to El Paso Montwood running back Edward Britton, despite his recent arrest for shoplifting.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Britton, who signed with Tech in February after a standout career at Montwood, was arrested and charged with shoplifting a pair of MP3 players from a local Wal-Mart last week. He was charged with a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in the county jail and a fine up to $2,000.
