TAPPS results FW Nolan 21, TCA-Addison 20 (OT)
Division I state final
These two district rivals met for a second time, and it was a thriller. Nolan had won the regular-season meeting, and it also won the rematch, but the game couldn't have been more evenly played. The teams played to a 14-14 tie in regulation. Nolan hit a TD pass on its overtime possession to go up seven points, but TCA-Addison answered with a TD pass of its own. Then, a bobbled hold led to a missed extra point attempt for TCA-Addison and Nolan celebrated its fourth state title since 2004. Nolan finished a perfect 13-0, while TCA-Addison was 12-2, with both losses coming to Nolan.
