DIVISION I
REGION I PREMIER GAME
Euless Trinity (11-0) vs. Plano (10-1)
5 p.m. Saturday, Texas StadiumLet's think irrationally here. Euless Trinity beat Allen, 24-14. Allen in turn beat Plano, 56-23. So what we're saying is Trinity should be 43 points better than Plano? Only if you take that approach. But a level-headed thought process is much kinder to Plano, though it does reveal at least one truth: Plano has trouble stopping the run. That's definitely not a confidence-building conclusion when Trinity, a team that averages 192 rushing yards per game, is next on your schedule. A sampling of rushing totals Plano allowed in games this season: 367 to Allen; 263 to Temple; 171 to McKinney Boyd; 270 to DeSoto; 240 to Hebron. Again, this all should trouble the Plano faithful.
