The Eagles lost 53 seniors over the offseason, including stellar QB Morgan Mickan. They brought back just 11 lettermen and only two starters on defense. As a matter of fact, in the game program for this year's Texas Football Classic -- where Georgetown opened its season with a convincing win over San Antonio Southwest -- we wrote this: "It sounds strange, but with so many new faces in the Eagles' starting lineups this year, anything can happen. At this point, the coaching staff probably still isn't exactly sure what it will get out of the newcomers ... The young leaders on the team have to take a giant step forward."
