The New Boston community in East Texas is mourning following the death of senior-to-be Wayne Trevino, who is highlighted on page 274 of the 2005 edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine.
The 17-year old Trevino, who was expected to play DT for coach Rock Barker’s Lions this fall, died in an automobile accident earlier this week. According to coaches at 3A New Boston, Trevino was one of the program’s leaders and a role model for underclassmen both on and off the football field.
