Cypress Woods
Mascot: Wildcats
Colors: Red and Gold
District: 15-5A
Enrollment: 4,256
Coach: Mike Zachos
Notable: Woods, which has been open since August of 2006, is still known as the "new kid on the block" -- but not for long, as CFISD is opening two more schools in 2008: Cy Ranch and Cy Lakes. Neither will play a varsity football schedule until 2010.
Fort Bend Travis
Mascot: Tigers
Colors: Scarlet, gray & white
District: 23-5A
Enrollment: 2,130
Coach: Randy Cunningham
Notable: Cunningham came from Spring Westfield, where he was an offensive coordinator, to become the first head coach at Fort Bend ISD's 10th high school ... Travis' addition makes 23-5A the largest district in the state (10 schools), along with 2-5A and 7-4A.
