The national championship game at the Orange Bowl tonight pits No. 1 Southern Cal against No. 2 Oklahoma, but certainly there will be great Texas influence. A combined 56 players from the Lone Star State appear on the bowl rosters for the two squads.
The number of players from Texas (56) is the most of any state outside of California. Only 32 players from Oklahoma are represented in the game - all on the game roster for the Sooners.
