Yes, the Monday Recap is about looking back. But we can't help but look forward with a bit of disappointment. The Houston Chronicle announced this morning that the lingering effects of Hurricane Ike has forced North Shore officials to cancel their trip to Southlake Carroll.
North Shore has won 72 straight games in the regular season, a streak that ties it with -- guess who -- Southlake Carroll. The irony and significance of that game would've been enormous. But NS school officials had more important issues to deal with, so while this is the right decision for its students, it surely will cost Texas high school football fans a great spectacle.
