Mock, Long among mini-camp participants

Former The Woodlands quarterback Chance Mock was back in his hometown this past weekend auditioning for a full-time job with the Houston Texans.

Mock, who was a backup to both Chris Simms and Vince Young during his college career at Texas, was not selected in the 2005 NFL Draft in late April. Mock was invited by the Texans to the mini-camp, and participated alongside their six draft picks, 11 rookie free agents, 10 other free agents trying out for a contract and three other players with no NFL experience.
