Inside the 25: HP reloading again; Stony Point not a surprise anymore

Editor's Note: "Inside The 25" counts down the '08 preseason top 25 rankings in all five 11-man classifications, taking a closer look at each team in the rankings, starting from No. 25 and working down to the No. 1 teams in each classification.
CLASS 5A's #13: Round Rock Stony Point
2007 Preseason Ranking/Final Ranking: NR/NR
2007 Final Record/Playoff Finish: 9-3/DI area finalists
Why They're Ranked: If proving they're no one-hit wonder isn't enough motivation, the Stony Point Tigers, who return 13 starters overall, can rely on perhaps their most talented senior class in their eight-year history. Returning to a team that made its first-ever playoff trip last year are at least three blue-chip recruits, most notably QB Nyk McKissic. As a junior, McKissic passed for 2,087 yards and 16 TDs (to just 3 INTs) and added 559 yards and 9 TDs rushing. While McKissic waits on his first scholarship offer, two teammates have racked them up. ATH Glasco Martin -- who saw time at both RB and WR -- has picked Baylor, but that hasn't slowed other colleges from pursuing him, while DE Tevin Mims (6-3, 220, 4.9) has multiple BCS offers. The most glaring absence for Stony Point is Ryan Nunn, the starting RB last year who came less than 100 yards shy of the 2,000-yard benchmark. Help is on the way, and it's in Stony Point to stay: Stephen Williams, rated as a top 20 sophomore in Texas, got 55 total touches for 533 yards and 7 TDs during his freshman season. Look for his number of carreis to multiply, perhaps by as many as three times last year's amount. He'll eventually be a blue-chipper by the time he can sign (February of 2011) a scholarship. By that point, we'll know if Stony Point's nine-win season in 2007 was an aberration or the norm. We're banking on the latter. .audio_b{background:#FEFFEC; border:1px solid #E5E7BF; padding:3px; font-size:10px; font-family:verdana; width:220px; text-align:center; float:right; margin-left:4px;}
